Arriving by car or by train

The Berghof is accessed via our pay per use road.  For guests of the Berghof use of this road is naturally free of charge. 

Tips for the navigation system: Please enter Gunzesried as the destination.

Please DO NOT enter Ofterschwang as the destination, there is no access to the Berghof from Ofterschwang, even if the navigation system says so!

Further info: With some German navigations CDs the Familotel Allgäuer Berghof is found under Ofterschwang as well as Blaichach.

From the North: (Stuttgart ca. 2 hours)
Take the A7 Würtzburg – Ulm – Kempten.  Take the turn-off  for the A980 and B 19 direction Oberstdorf.  Turn off the B 19 at the Blaichach exit and follow the OA 5 to Blaichach…

From the East: (Munich ca. 2 hours)
Take the A 96 direction Lindau to Memmingen and the A 7 to Kempten.  Take the turn-off  for the A980 and B 19 direction Oberstdorf.  Turn off the B 19 at the Blaichach exit and follow the OA 5 to Blaichach…

From the West: (Zurich ca. 2.5 hours)
From Lindau take the beautiful alpine road B 309 through Lindenberg and Oberstaufen to Immenstadt.  In Immenstadt continue to the OA 5 to Blaichach…

… shortly after Blaichach turn right on the road to Gunzesried and follow the road up the mountain.  At the road’s highest point, just before Gunzesried, turn left onto the Berghof access road (sign posted “Allgäuer Berghof”) and follow it 3.5 km to your holiday destination!

By train

Take the train to Immenstadt (Allgäu).  From the station it is only 15 minutes by taxi to the Allgäuer Berghof.
